This versatile Sweeper / Collector is ideal for horse muck collection in a field or yard situation. Collection is made by simply driving over the droppings without the need to stop and pick up individual amounts. A working width of 1.2m (4ft) means high work rates can be achieved by one person, saving considerable time and costs over conventional methods. One of the other benefits is that it will pick up other materials, e.g. grass cuttings, wet and dry leaves, litter, acorns etc.

Used in conjunction with an ATV it provides a unit which offers low ground pressure, which is useful in wetter months when ground saturation is common. The Sweeper/Collector is also equally at home on hard surfaces like concrete and can be used with a compact tractor, garden tractor or other suitable vehicle.

High quality components are used throughout to ensure durability and long life.

A COMPARISON OF SWEEPING OR SUCKING

The decision to choose a sweeper / collector or a suction system needs careful thought. Both remove horse muck from pastures, but we believe the Logic sweeper / collector has many advantages.

SPEED OF OPERATION is vitally important, not only from a cost point of view, but also from a timing aspect. Sweeper / collectors are several times quicker than suction systems, which encourages frequent use, rather than being used as a last resort, with more labour intensive systems. Using little and often is the better management policy.
ONE PERSON can carry out the job with a sweeper type of machine. Using a suction system often results in two people involved to improve work rates,- one driving the towing vehicle and one operating the remote suction head.
GRASS IS “GROOMED” with a sweeper / collector. As the machine is towed around, not only is muck and small stones picked up, but dead grass is pulled out and all sorts of other rubbish is swept up, to clean-out and stimulate the sward into more vigorous growth. The suction systems tend to be more selective, so the overall grooming effect is not happening.
OPERATOR FATIGUE is not an issue with a sweeper / collector, the operator simply drives around with the towing vehicle adjusting the remote engine throttle as required. With a suction system, there is a lot of stopping, starting, suction head manoeuvring - even with spring assistance and set-up / transport adjustments.
BLOCKAGES can occur with some suction systems that feature chopping mechanisms, which take time and effort to overcome. The Logic Sweeper / collector is a very simple machine that has one brush and a hopper. When the hopper is full the brush simply deposits the muck back onto the ground, so the operator knows to empty the load.
LONG GRASS is a problem with sweeper / collector systems, but even suction systems find it more difficult and a lot more time and effort is required to carry out the work.

SWEEPER / COLLECTOR POINTS TO CONSIDER

When deciding which sweeper / collection type of machine to buy, it’s wise to compare the merits of a Logic sweeper / collector against other models available. We are confident you will realise the benefits of our product, which represents excellent value for money.

BRUSH POSITION is critical for accurate adjustment and brushing performance. The Logic sweeper / collector has the brush on the same axis as the wheels, so that the brush follows ground contours exactly and fine adjustment is possible. Some sweeper models available have the brush mounted behind the wheel axis, in which case the brush will often dig into the ground, or miss the target completely. This will lead to excessive bristle wear and poor brushing performance.
REMOTE THROTTLE CONTROL allows the Logic sweeper / collector unit to be used behind any suitable towing vehicle, with control of the engine from the driver’s seat. This feature enables the engine to be set at idle when moving from site to site, or between areas in the same field. Most other models available do not have this facility, so the operator has to move from the driving position to adjust the engine revs on a regular basis.
CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH on the engine drive, facilitates easier starting and when idling does not drive the brush. This feature prolongs the life of the engine and brush. Other models available usually do not have this benefit.
OFFSETABLE DRAWBAR allows access under trees etc and more safety if operating near watercourses or other hazards. Other types of sweeper / collector rarely offer this feature.

The Logic Sweeper Collector continues to do the business in a wide variety of situations, from grass and leaf collection on lawns and parks, to clearing up after rock concerts and raves etc!
Such is the design and build quality that it performs well on most surfaces eg. grass, tarmac, concrete, artificial playing surfaces, running tracks and fields.
One of its many features is that it can be towed by any suitable vehicle due to the Honda 5.5hp engine power unit and remote throttle control. It has a 1.2m operating width and generous 600lt hopper capacity, which ensures fast work rates. Where heavy loads are picked up like slurry or animal droppings, an optional winch is available to assist emptying and the drawbar can be offset to improve access under trees etc.
The unit has proved very popular with local authorities, municipal contractors and private users for an enormous range of sweeping duties.
