Logic
MFP Flail Mowers are designed for
both professional and domestic users. Suitable for most
grassed areas e.g. paddocks, orchards, tree nurseries,
road side verges, field headlands, fire breaks, footpaths
and lawns etc.
A choice of engine is available to match power requirement
to working width and work load. All options are easy start,
reliable and economical.
Height adjustment is simple and precise. All models feature
an anti scalping roller to prevent turf destruction and allow
cutting over kerb edges etc.
The wheels behind option reduces overall width to improve
the cutting distance up to walls, fences and trees etc, the
offsettable drawbar also improves this feature with increased
manoeuvrability.
MFP Flail Mowers have been developed to be towed by ATV’s
or any other suitable vehicle.

FLAIL v ROTARY
The decision
to choose a Flail mower or a Rotary model needs careful
thought.
Both cut grass, but each has different qualities.
| |
Flail
mowers will generally cut anything, up to small bushes!
They require a lot of power to do this as they chop
up the material several times. |
| |
Flail
mowers are generally used without a grass collection
system, as they disperse the mulched grass over the
full working width, which decomposes very quickly. |
| |
Logic
Flail mowers feature an “Anti-scalping Roller” which
allows cutting over kerb edges or rough ground, without
fear of damage to the turf or machine. |
| |
Flail
mowers fitted with “lawn” blades and used
on finer turfs, will produce an excellent result, with
the added benefit of disposed cuttings. |
| |
Rotary
mowers are better suited to maintaining shorter grasses
and will cut a large area quicker than a flail mower. |
| |
Rotary
mowers are however very good for topping pastures where
the taller grass is spasmodic and doesn’t represent
a decomposition problem. |
| |
Rotary
mowers will cut longer grass, but will leave a wind
line of cut grass, which should be collected, or the
sward beneath
it will be suffocated. |
| |
Rotary
mowers are generally cheaper due to being simpler in
construction. |
| |
Rotary
mowers are better suited for use on level ground as
they have no anti-scalping roller. |
COMPETITION
When
deciding which flail mower to buy, it’s wise
to compare the merits of a Logic flail mower against
other models
available. We are confident you will realise the
benefits of our products, which represent excellent
value for money.

QUALITY
OF CONSTRUCTION on Logic flail mowers is
second to none. All models feature design and construction
methods that have stood the test of time for over
20 years. |
| |
EASE
OF ADJUSTMENT is important, to get the best
out of the machine in any situation. Logic flail
mowers feature as standard an ultra quick off-settable
drawbar and a raise and lower jack that permits infinite
settings. An optional remote throttle control allows
the operator to control the engine speed at a moments
notice, thereby safeguarding the machine in difficult
situations and making the operation more efficient.
Other flail models on the market do not offer the same degree of speedy
control, and some even need tools to adjust the settings, which can take
some time |
| |
FLAILS on
all Logic mowers are 4mm thick, which is a heavier
duty spec than on most other models available. These
are sharpened from the tip to the mounting point on
both sides, making them reversible. This is important,
to increase the life of the blade and to reduce the
resistance when in motion, as the cutting action requires
the blade to chop material several times, which takes
more power.
Logic flails are mounted on a “D” shackle which allows deflection
over 360°, which is much safer than some other manufacturers mountings,
which only have deflection forwards and backwards |
| |
ROTOR
STRENGTH is a feature of Logic flail mowers.
The diameter of the rotor shaft is further strengthened
with four vanes, which are used to mount the flails
in a series of hole options. The vanes generate a
greater “draught” under the hood to pick-up
material that is lying down, or has been driven over,
then once cut is thrown out to prevent blockage.
Other designs available often rely on a smaller diameter shaft with flail
mountings welded on, which are prone to damage and imbalance. |
| |
SAFETY “KILL” SWITCH is
standard on Logic flail mowers, to permit the immediate
stopping of the mower if some foreign body becomes
entangled in the flails, thereby reducing any damage.
In the unlikely event of an accident causing the operator
to leave their seat, the expanding lanyard connected
to the operator, would pull out the ignition device,
stopping the machine.
No other mower of this type includes this facility. |
