The
Logic LGF Series Trailed Game Feeder has been developed
from our existing livestock feeder range, and provides
a bulk feed dispensing unit suitable for estates and
larger game rearing farms.
The feeder handles flowable feeds of grain, pellets and drier “seconds” etc.
The discharge mechanism features a geared 12 volt motor driven
disc mounted in a sturdy shroud for durability. The body,
like all Logic feeders, is galvanised for long life. The
spinning disc and sluice gate are controlled via a remotely
operated control box, which can be mounted close to the operator
on an ATV, 4x4 or similar vehicle.
Specification offers a hopper capacity of approximately 320kg
this can be increased to 500kg with the use of optional hopper
extension sides. Feed rate is easily adjusted and provides
a range from 2.8kg to 51kg per minute, based on wheat. Spreading
width varies from 2.5m to 3m depending on the weight of the
feed and the length of vegetation. Deflector plates on the
discharge disc can be adjusted to narrow the spread width
if a more concentrated feed pattern is required and also
allows a degree of offset if needed. The machine comes with
swivel hitch and is mounted on high quality L.G.P. wheels
for increased reliability and sufficient ground clearance.
Other options include the choice of tonneau cover or hard-top
bale rack, mudguards and hitch bracket to allow use with
4x4’s and similar vehicles.

EBC-BD12 GAME FEEDER has 85lt capacity, based on the well-proven
electrobroadcaster, but with a belt driven 12 volt motor, which
protects the motor from damage by foreign bodies jamming the
system. It generates a narrower spread width of about 4 metres,
suitable for use on woodland paths and rides etc. This machine
can be mounted on a wide choice of vehicles from ATVs, 4x4s
and tractors etc.

A
gamekeeper using a Logic game broadcaster on one
of the Sandhoe drives at Beaufront Castle Estate,
near Hexham, Northumberland, renowned for good high
birds in wonderful countryside. This estate is typical
of many shoots trying to produce quality birds for
a more discerning customer. It is blessed with wide
ranging cover on a steep sided valley including mature
woodlands, strategic plantings and game crops.
Head Keeper Stuart Riddell and his team rear close to 6000 birds for the estate
and 40-50 thousand at the gamefarm. They use a Logic Electrobroadcaster Gamefeeder
mounted on the rear carrier of their ATV to feed the released poults from Autumn
onwards on well covered tracks and paths throughout the estate woodlands. He
comments, “the feeder is used each day and we find the birds are wilder
when fed this way, they do not associate the quad with humans, so remain as natural
as possible. The birds forage better, are in good condition and rise well when
confronted by the beaters. A lot of the cover is on steep hillsides and this
allows us to present an even supply of good high birds to
our eager clients.”
The under-keeper fills the feeder hopper several times each journey, but claims
it has transformed his life for the better, compared to previous methods. He
is now considering trying a trailed Logic gamefeeder, which holds four times
as much and is confident it will improve the job even more. |
